Small Miracles

Holaaa!!! how are y'all doing? 


This week went by super fast! We got a new companion this week so now we are in a trio and it's actually so much fun. We are teaching English class. Alot of people come to our class. My spanish is slowly getting better. It´s still really tough but the gift of tongues is real. Sometimes I feel like I don´t make any sense when I´m teaching but apparently I do because they don´t have any questions. We were walking back to our apartment one night and we heard two super loud gunshots. We then saw 2 men run by on the road we live on so we turned around and ran to the closest members house. The next morning we walked by a restaurant that is super close to us and the restaurant was broken into. Two of the windows were broken so those gunshots we heard was literally right around the corner from us. Kinda crazy how close we were but we're safe. Don't worry mom hehe!!


This week we had 6 of our investigators come to church which is super good! A month ago we talked to the kid named Jesus and we tried to have lessons with him but his mom was always busy. This week we ran into his mom in the street and it turns out they moved. They actually live super close to our apartment...woot woot! we had a lesson with their family and invited Jesus and his sister Genesis to our English class and they came!! they also came to church and we had family home evening with them too! they are literally the sweetest. They are 10 and 16 years old. We are also teaching Leslie and Franz right now. We met them while they were selling bread. We are teaching their family too. they even came to church on sunday! this week has been a really good week with our investigators and we have seen small miracles every day.

Holaaaaa!! The time has come to an end. I will be leaving Peru on Friday and will make it to Idaho on Saturday! Im so excited to see everyone but also a little heartbroken to leave all the wonderful people Ive met. Peru will always have a place in my heart. I Got My Visa!

Okayyyy so guess what?! I got my visa! There were only 2 missionaries out of all 30-40 Peru missionaries at the MTC that got their visa. I was one of them! It's a MIRACLE! I leave for Peru on Monday and I'm so excited. God definitely has a plan for me and there must be someone in Peru that needs me.  This week has been super good. My Spanish is coming along. It's going to be so sad leaving my companions and district. I love them so much and it will be hard saying goodbye. We are still just having classes everyday trying to learn spanish. One night the fire alarm went off, my other two companions had just gotten out of the shower and were running to put clothes on to leave. The cops came and were trying to figure out what happened but no one knows. The very next night we had to go get medicine and as we were walking back, the MTC president stopped and asked us why there were so many people outside after hours. He told us to do better. Holaaaaa!! I have officially been a missionary for 1 year! The hardest year of my life. The best year for my life. A year of learning. A year of patience. A year of growing. A year of meeting the most amazing people. A year of making friendships. A year of coming closer to my savior. A year of miracles. A year that I will never forget. A year of love for my heavenly father and Jesus christ. There have been times where I've just wanted to give up. But in these times, the Lord gave me strength to press forward. I am so grateful for all the many experiences I have had in Peru and I'm excited for these last 6 months. One of my favorite things about the mission is the opportunity we have to meet new people.
