Find Someone To Serve Today

Mon: Transfers were this week and I am staying in Victoria for another 6 weeks with Hermana Gamarra!! We went to immigrations with a bunch of other americans. We waited 3 hours just to take a picture and fingerprints. 


Tues: I had a cold and was exhausted by the end of the day. We had a lesson with Genesis, Jesus, and their mom Ines. They are all so happy and excited for their baptism!


Wed: Peru is kind of crazy right now. It´s pretty chill here in Trujillo compared to other parts of Peru but we still have to be careful. We had to cancel our English class and we couldn´t have any reunions in the church this day. However we had some good lessons with members and investigadores.


Thurs: Genesis and Jesus´s baptism!! It was so beautiful. So many miracles today. We couldn´t find baptism clothes for them the whole week. The elders were able to find some clothes and we didn´t think it would fit but it did. The baptism was beautiful. They were both so happy!!


Fri: District council!! Super good as always. We talked alot about Charity. This is the perfect month to have more charity. I invite yáll to find someone to serve today. 


Sat: Met as a district for Hermana Alvarez´s birthday! Had some lessons with some investigadores. Went to baptism and I´m pretty sure we sung the whole hymnbook while we were waiting for them to change their clothes. We went to a stake activity afterwards and the YSA performed a bunch of different dances of Peru. super cool and interesting!


Sun: Picked up 4 of our investigators for church. We went to church with Genesis and Jesus´s little brother and he is wilddd ahaha (he has given me many different names...hermanita, seniorita, tia, and hermana rose) he is so cute! we visited less active members and had a lesson with Dayqui, Moises, and Ayko!!

Holaaaaa!! The time has come to an end. I will be leaving Peru on Friday and will make it to Idaho on Saturday! Im so excited to see everyone but also a little heartbroken to leave all the wonderful people Ive met. Peru will always have a place in my heart. I Got My Visa!

Okayyyy so guess what?! I got my visa! There were only 2 missionaries out of all 30-40 Peru missionaries at the MTC that got their visa. I was one of them! It's a MIRACLE! I leave for Peru on Monday and I'm so excited. God definitely has a plan for me and there must be someone in Peru that needs me.  This week has been super good. My Spanish is coming along. It's going to be so sad leaving my companions and district. I love them so much and it will be hard saying goodbye. We are still just having classes everyday trying to learn spanish. One night the fire alarm went off, my other two companions had just gotten out of the shower and were running to put clothes on to leave. The cops came and were trying to figure out what happened but no one knows. The very next night we had to go get medicine and as we were walking back, the MTC president stopped and asked us why there were so many people outside after hours. He told us to do better. Holaaaaa!! I have officially been a missionary for 1 year! The hardest year of my life. The best year for my life. A year of learning. A year of patience. A year of growing. A year of meeting the most amazing people. A year of making friendships. A year of coming closer to my savior. A year of miracles. A year that I will never forget. A year of love for my heavenly father and Jesus christ. There have been times where I've just wanted to give up. But in these times, the Lord gave me strength to press forward. I am so grateful for all the many experiences I have had in Peru and I'm excited for these last 6 months. One of my favorite things about the mission is the opportunity we have to meet new people.
