"Ella Es Mi Gringo"
Buenos diasssss!!! Here's a lil update :)
Tues: Zone conference with President and Sister Hiatt! Super good as always, learned lots, and felt the spirit. We need to first have our own testimony of the gospel to share it with others. We can't just know about the gospel but we need to feel the blessings and feel the peace and joy that comes from the Savior for ourselves first in order to share it with ohers. We had exchanges and I went to Jerusalén with Sister Edwards. Super fun and learned lots.
Wed: Ended our exchanges and had district council!! Taught some people. Taught English woo hoo!!
Thurs: I introduce myself as hermana rose because literally everyone has a difficult time with it. we were talking with Leonardo (recent convert...he's 17 yrs old and is like a little brother to us...all the missionaries love him he's literally the BEST). Anyways we were talking about a member that came to church whose name is Jack. My companion said "ya Jack was looking for Rose" (a joke about the Titanic) and Leonardo said, "noo she's my gringo". Lol he thought my companion was talking about me. My heart :) Anyways yeah we taught some people. Hermano Jampoll brought us KFC at 10pm and it was soo good!!
Fri: Super long day, we had so many lessons. We taught so many people but we don't know of they will progress. We had FHE with our pensionista and her family and it was fun getting to know their family a little better eventhough we see them everyday.
Sat: we went to the temple!! We couldn't go inside but we could walk around the outside. It's amazing the peace you can feel at the temple compared to the normal world. We couldn't go inside but wow it was so good just to be there and feel the peace and calmness at the temple. We had more lessons and visited some less active members.
Sun: we are teaching a family right now and they all came to church!! The kids went to primary and the mom and daughter went to Sunday school! Our other investigator that we met this week came to church too! We taught 2 people and knocked on so many doors the rest of the day.
This week was very long but so good. So many prayers were answered. I am so grateful for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and the love, peace, and joy they give me. I love you all!! Have a fabulous week!
