Goodbye Week
Holaaaaa!!
Tues: absolutely crazy day!! Since both my companion and I are leaving The Victoria, we said goodbye to all our investigators and members. It was so sad and fun saying goodbye to all the friends we made. We ate dinner with the Alva fam and after we had second dinner with the Pretel Fam...the exact same food haha but it was yummy
Wed: said a few more goodbyes in the morning and left to my new area :((( I went from a poor to wealthy area. The mission presidents for both Trujillo north and south live in our area. Our apartment building even has an elevator haha. My new comp is from California! I dont know what president was thinking putting two gringos together haha.
Thurs: the work here is so much different and slower. We ran into this guy that thinks joseph smith came from outer space. We had one lesson with a recent convert and shes so sweet. The members are super cool!
Fri: 7 months as a missionary!! Had zone council. This zone is pretty cool but wow I miss my other zone and area. Ill get over it eventually...i hope. Had a lesson with a guy that we found the other day. He had so many questions haha and it was kind of difficult for us because we both dont have perfect spanish but he was patient and think he understood.
Sat: had comp study outside and got fried again. Had a lesson with a recent convert and hes so cool. The nicest person everrr. Taught english and met some more members. Nothing too crazy happened.
Sun: went to church!! Met so many people and i dont remember any of their names whoops. One of the youth taught us some slangs :) we had two lessons with recent converts. Had weekly mission meeting over zoom and we are preparing for Elder Rasband to come here in February!!!
My comp and I were talking about how everyone wants to shake Elder Rasbands hand when he comes. I thought about how we are so excited to shake a hand of an apostle, but imagine the excitement we would have if Christ came. But reallt, Christ is always with us reaching his hand out towards us. We just need to accept his hand and follow Him and we will have so much joy in our lives.
3 Nephi 11
14 Arise and come forth unto me, that ye may thrust your hands into my side, and also that ye may feel the prints of the nails in my hands and in my feet, that ye may know that I am the God of Israel, and the God of the whole earth, and have been slain for the sins of the world.
15 And it came to pass that the multitude went forth, and thrust their hands into his side, and did feel the prints of the nails in his hands and in his feet; and this they did do, going forth one by one until they had all gone forth, and did see with their eyes and did feel with their hands, and did know of a surety and did bear record, that it was he, of whom it was written by the prophets, that should come.
16 And when they had all gone forth and had witnessed for themselves, they did cry out with one accord, saying:
17 Hosanna! Blessed be the name of the Most High God! And they did fall down at the feet of Jesus, and did worship him.
I really like this scripture and the joy the people had when Christ came. Christ really is there for us. He is the light. He is our Savior and Redeemer. I am so grateful for the Savior and His Atonement. I love you all. Christ loves you. I hope yall have a fabulous week!!
