Gracias Hermana Kuhn ;))

Monday- We went to the mall and saw todos los misioneros! And after pday we had a family home evening with Hermana Andrea and we made cookies!!! They definitely got burnt because the oven settings were wack but they were still good and we got to share them with our district!


Tuesday- We had a lesson with Claudia and set a goal baptism date for her on Feb 25th! We also had a lesson with Flor and Luis and a member came with us and shared his testimony! It was super cool! 


Wednesday- We taught our english class "It's aight" and what it means to be "a beast" haha. Im helping hermana Kuhn with her piano skills haha. 


Thursday- We started the day out right with a member message with our relief society president!!! She so sweet and wants us to join in and help create the relief society service activities!!! We also had a family home afternoon with Alcibiades and taught him how to play Skip Bo and once again he won his first time playing lol. Then we had a lesson with another member! And then we had the longest lesson of my mission with this lady named Ysabel but actually it wasn't a lesson because she just talked at us the whole time and said she feel decieved by our church but would love to meet with us. She was nice and said look out for the Venezuelans on the way out. We're still figuring out how interested she is 


Friday- We had a lesson with a reference we recieved! Her name is Karina and she's so cool!!!!! She said she's catholic but loves getting to know everything about God! And at one point we asked her if she knew the story of Adam and Eve and then showed her 2 Nefi 2:25 and she said she was confused and didn't understand how the first sin could bring us joy and after we explained to her the need of opposition in all things and how it was in God's plan for Adam and Eve to sin she said that that had been one of the things she always wondered and now she finally had the answer and understood it. She's so sweet and said she wants to come to church with her 18 year old daughter on Sunday. We also passed by Claudia's on the way to dinner to have a mini lesson with her. We asked her if anything had been on her mind recently to think of a scripture to share and we talked about the importance of the sacrament and fasting!!! And we decided to fast for her to know if Feb 25 is a good baptismal date for her!!! She said we can call her to pray and start our fast together! 


Saturday- We started a fast for Claudia!  We had a lesson with Jhonny and later had a lesson with some members in the ward. Right when the Hermana started talking to me, we were like "Donde es usted?" (Where are you from?) Cuz we were like that is not a Peruvian or even spanish accent. And she said Brasil!!!! So cool shes still learning Spanish and it sounded like she was speaking Spanish mixed with French! 


Sunday- Nada mucho pasó. We had a lesson with Hna Yngris, and another member message!

Holaaaaa!! The time has come to an end. I will be leaving Peru on Friday and will make it to Idaho on Saturday! Im so excited to see everyone but also a little heartbroken to leave all the wonderful people Ive met. Peru will always have a place in my heart. I Got My Visa!

Okayyyy so guess what?! I got my visa! There were only 2 missionaries out of all 30-40 Peru missionaries at the MTC that got their visa. I was one of them! It's a MIRACLE! I leave for Peru on Monday and I'm so excited. God definitely has a plan for me and there must be someone in Peru that needs me.  This week has been super good. My Spanish is coming along. It's going to be so sad leaving my companions and district. I love them so much and it will be hard saying goodbye. We are still just having classes everyday trying to learn spanish. One night the fire alarm went off, my other two companions had just gotten out of the shower and were running to put clothes on to leave. The cops came and were trying to figure out what happened but no one knows. The very next night we had to go get medicine and as we were walking back, the MTC president stopped and asked us why there were so many people outside after hours. He told us to do better. Holaaaaa!! I have officially been a missionary for 1 year! The hardest year of my life. The best year for my life. A year of learning. A year of patience. A year of growing. A year of meeting the most amazing people. A year of making friendships. A year of coming closer to my savior. A year of miracles. A year that I will never forget. A year of love for my heavenly father and Jesus christ. There have been times where I've just wanted to give up. But in these times, the Lord gave me strength to press forward. I am so grateful for all the many experiences I have had in Peru and I'm excited for these last 6 months. One of my favorite things about the mission is the opportunity we have to meet new people.
