SUPERBOWL!

Whats up everyone?! I hope y'all had a wonderful week!! Here's a little update :)


Mon-woke up to the best news that the CHIEFS won the SUPERBOWL!! Hermanas Galaretta and Rodriguez from Pacasmayo came to stay with us until wednesday. They are so cute and I love them.


Tues- Elder rasband couldnt come but Elder Palmer from the seventy was able to come to Trujillo. Missions Peru Trujillo North and south met for this devotional. It was so cool. It reminded me of the MTC. I got chills when we all started singing, the spirit was strong. We will have no greater joy than the spirit working through us to bring the gospel and forgiveness to others. All the talks were so good and powerful.️ I was also able to see other missionaries...one of the BEST days.


Wed- Had another FHE with Alcibiades. We shared a message, played Phase 10 and he brought this weird food called Chiclayo. He was so sweet but I probably wont eat it again. We had a lesson with Talia, shes super cool. She came to church the last Sunday and we have another lesson scheduled with her.


Thur-Its so hot and humid. We are literally sweating all day but hopefully we are getting tan hehe. I had a lesson with a member and we got a reference!!


Fri- Had a lesson with Luis. Hes...kinda interesting. But he he has alot of questions. He doesn't really believe in God and Jesus Christ but he did read the Book of Mormon. Pray that he can know there is a God and that he can feel God's love. Me and my gringo companion got called peruvians so that was the best compliment Ive ever gotten haha. We were getting a taxi and he was going to charge us 6 soles but were like no, how about 5? And he said yah. Then as we were getting out he told us we were peruvians because we didn't let him overcharge us.


Sat-Had a lesson with Jhonny. He's super cool and funny. Went to my last area in Esperanza for Leonardos baptism. We were teaching him and invited him to get baptized before transfers. We were able to go back and watch him get baptized!! I also saw all my friends :))) i miss them so much!!


Sun- went to church and still dont have a bishop. He moved a few weeks ago and they arent going to call another bishop for another month. We had a lesson with Yngris, shes so sweet. We had another lesson with Ades in the church. Someone shut the gate outside and no one had keys inside the church.We were stuck in the church for an extra hour while someone got keys. It was fine tho, we were able to play uno with Ades :)

Holaaaaa!! The time has come to an end. I will be leaving Peru on Friday and will make it to Idaho on Saturday! Im so excited to see everyone but also a little heartbroken to leave all the wonderful people Ive met. Peru will always have a place in my heart. I Got My Visa!

Okayyyy so guess what?! I got my visa! There were only 2 missionaries out of all 30-40 Peru missionaries at the MTC that got their visa. I was one of them! It's a MIRACLE! I leave for Peru on Monday and I'm so excited. God definitely has a plan for me and there must be someone in Peru that needs me.  This week has been super good. My Spanish is coming along. It's going to be so sad leaving my companions and district. I love them so much and it will be hard saying goodbye. We are still just having classes everyday trying to learn spanish. One night the fire alarm went off, my other two companions had just gotten out of the shower and were running to put clothes on to leave. The cops came and were trying to figure out what happened but no one knows. The very next night we had to go get medicine and as we were walking back, the MTC president stopped and asked us why there were so many people outside after hours. He told us to do better. Holaaaaa!! I have officially been a missionary for 1 year! The hardest year of my life. The best year for my life. A year of learning. A year of patience. A year of growing. A year of meeting the most amazing people. A year of making friendships. A year of coming closer to my savior. A year of miracles. A year that I will never forget. A year of love for my heavenly father and Jesus christ. There have been times where I've just wanted to give up. But in these times, the Lord gave me strength to press forward. I am so grateful for all the many experiences I have had in Peru and I'm excited for these last 6 months. One of my favorite things about the mission is the opportunity we have to meet new people.
