Overpriced Souvenirs

Mon-Went to the center of Trujillo! Bought some overpriced souvenirs that were still cheap for US. Went to the church and played Peru monopoly with the district! Had a lesson with Yngris and shes so adorable.


Tues-Multizone conference!! I saw all my buddies, I miss them. We did ALOT of roleplays and it's always super stressful but it was actually really cool. As missionaries we are given authority to teach about Christ's gospel, we need to use this authority and be confident when we testify of Jesus Christ! Had a birthday party with Maryori in the church and set off the fire alarm lol but it was a party!


Wed-nothing much happened this day. I don't really remember hehe sorry 


Thurs-knocked some doors and found this cute 11 year old girl named Joselyn. Her parents don't believe in God but she wants to so hopefully we can teach her. We had a lesson with Katherine and taught her the Plan of Salvation. We started exchanges and Hermana Baird from Eagle came here :) 


Fri-the BEST exchange I've had!! We found four new people and set one baptismal date in the first contact!! This guy is ELECT but he lives only 4 blocks from our area so the elderes get to teach him. We were trying to find members and we ended up finding this man and we taught him about the gospel and asked him to be baptized and he said yes...so he's going to he baptized on April 16th!! Super fun day and I realized that we can find people even in hard areas.


Sat-had a lesson with Sary! She's a reference we received from YouTube. Shes pretty cool, she invited us to her church haha but we think she can progress. Had a lesson with Ysabel and it was such a good lesson, the spirit was strong and she was actually listening to us. Bettina gave me a book of mormon in quechua so now I'm going to learn how to speak quechua ;)


Sun-stake conference!! Talía came to church! Saw all the missionaries in our zone...LOVE THEM. President and Sister Hiatt spoke in conference and they're just the BEST!! Our lessons all got canceled so that was kinda depressing but we did find someone new to teach!

Holaaaaa!! The time has come to an end. I will be leaving Peru on Friday and will make it to Idaho on Saturday! Im so excited to see everyone but also a little heartbroken to leave all the wonderful people Ive met. Peru will always have a place in my heart. I Got My Visa!

Okayyyy so guess what?! I got my visa! There were only 2 missionaries out of all 30-40 Peru missionaries at the MTC that got their visa. I was one of them! It's a MIRACLE! I leave for Peru on Monday and I'm so excited. God definitely has a plan for me and there must be someone in Peru that needs me.  This week has been super good. My Spanish is coming along. It's going to be so sad leaving my companions and district. I love them so much and it will be hard saying goodbye. We are still just having classes everyday trying to learn spanish. One night the fire alarm went off, my other two companions had just gotten out of the shower and were running to put clothes on to leave. The cops came and were trying to figure out what happened but no one knows. The very next night we had to go get medicine and as we were walking back, the MTC president stopped and asked us why there were so many people outside after hours. He told us to do better. Holaaaaa!! I have officially been a missionary for 1 year! The hardest year of my life. The best year for my life. A year of learning. A year of patience. A year of growing. A year of meeting the most amazing people. A year of making friendships. A year of coming closer to my savior. A year of miracles. A year that I will never forget. A year of love for my heavenly father and Jesus christ. There have been times where I've just wanted to give up. But in these times, the Lord gave me strength to press forward. I am so grateful for all the many experiences I have had in Peru and I'm excited for these last 6 months. One of my favorite things about the mission is the opportunity we have to meet new people.
