Conference Weekend

Holaaaa!!! 


Mon-went to the mission home! Played games with the district and made cookies with President and Sister Hiatt!! We ate papa John's, cookies and root beer floats with orange Fanta! The orange fanta here hits different :)) SO MUCH FOOD!! Love my district #distritobuenosaires
Had a lesson with Talia and maryori. We watched the Restoration with her and it was so good. We could feel the spirit. Pray that she can know Joseph Smith was a prophet.


Tues-woke up with body aches and I was fevering pipipi but we persevered. Had a lesson with a member who definitely lived out of area and maybe the elders area too but she's still in our ward so it's okay. It was fun taking a little hike while your dizzy and not feeling so well. Our other appointment fell through and that's basically the day....


Wed-i wasn't fevering but I was still dizzy and had pain. Had district council wuujuuu!! We learned about the importance of members in missionary work and also practiced teaching. We found this guy named Rodrigo! He is super COOL!! He has alot of questions but that's super good. He told us the Bible lacks humor then he asked us if we think Jesus is funny. He has SO many questions. He told us he'd come watch general conference with us in the church :))


Thurs-no more dizziness, or body aches, but....random sharp stomach pain throughout the day. But we be chillin. We visited the Britto Family. We had a lesson planned but they ended up teaching us all sorts of things in the Bible haha. It was pretty cool and pretty useful to find more scriptures. Had a lesson with Ysabel! We watched a talk by President Nelson and she said she would come to conference ad well :))


Fri-met this super sweet old lady in the ward. Talked with a BUNCH of people in the park that aren't interested...but it's always fun meeting new people. Had a lesson with Alcibiades. He's the recent concert that wants to serve a mission. He's teaching us the lessons now and he's just amazing!!


Sat-CONFERENCEEE!!! Rodrigo came! He lives in our ward but turns how he lives in the elders side of the ward so we can't teach him. But he came and he liked it! Conference was so good!! Learned lots and I just felt so chill and peaceful all day and it was just the bestest ever. Found this sweet lady in the park named Victoria. The missionaries used to teach her before the pandemic. She wants to learn more. We gave her a book of mormon and she was so happy!!


Sun-MORE CONFERENCE!! ysabel came to conference! She thought it was super cool and pretty. We met with our district in the pensionistas to have lunch and watch conference! I love hermana Andrea and our district. It was a party and super cool to hear everyone's thoughts about conference. also...ANOTHER TEMPLE IN PERUUUU!! Everyone is so excited! Conference was amazing! I know that president Nelson is a prophet of God. It is such a blessing to have a loving heavenly father bless us with a prophet to lead us and guide and help prepare us for these last days. The Savior is coming soon, we need to be prepared. We need to be unified and love everyone. Ahhh there were so many good things about conference <3

Holaaaaa!! The time has come to an end. I will be leaving Peru on Friday and will make it to Idaho on Saturday! Im so excited to see everyone but also a little heartbroken to leave all the wonderful people Ive met. Peru will always have a place in my heart. I Got My Visa!

Okayyyy so guess what?! I got my visa! There were only 2 missionaries out of all 30-40 Peru missionaries at the MTC that got their visa. I was one of them! It's a MIRACLE! I leave for Peru on Monday and I'm so excited. God definitely has a plan for me and there must be someone in Peru that needs me.  This week has been super good. My Spanish is coming along. It's going to be so sad leaving my companions and district. I love them so much and it will be hard saying goodbye. We are still just having classes everyday trying to learn spanish. One night the fire alarm went off, my other two companions had just gotten out of the shower and were running to put clothes on to leave. The cops came and were trying to figure out what happened but no one knows. The very next night we had to go get medicine and as we were walking back, the MTC president stopped and asked us why there were so many people outside after hours. He told us to do better. Holaaaaa!! I have officially been a missionary for 1 year! The hardest year of my life. The best year for my life. A year of learning. A year of patience. A year of growing. A year of meeting the most amazing people. A year of making friendships. A year of coming closer to my savior. A year of miracles. A year that I will never forget. A year of love for my heavenly father and Jesus christ. There have been times where I've just wanted to give up. But in these times, the Lord gave me strength to press forward. I am so grateful for all the many experiences I have had in Peru and I'm excited for these last 6 months. One of my favorite things about the mission is the opportunity we have to meet new people.
