1 Yearrrrr

Holaaaaa!! I have officially been a missionary for 1 year! The hardest year of my life. The best year for my life. A year of learning. A year of patience. A year of growing. A year of meeting the most amazing people. A year of making friendships. A year of coming closer to my savior. A year of miracles. A year that I will never forget. A year of love for my heavenly father and Jesus christ.

There have been times where I've just wanted to give up. But in these times, the Lord gave me strength to press forward. I am so grateful for all the many experiences I have had in Peru and I'm excited for these last 6 months.

One of my favorite things about the mission is the opportunity we have to meet new people. I have made lasting friendships and I want to thank each one of my companions for everything they have taught me!

Hna Goates
She taught me how to find JOY! She is the most positive and happy person I've ever met. There's is so much joy and happiness even in the lowest moments of our lives.

Hna Webb
She taught me to be patient with myself. She taught me to trust in the Lord and his timing. She helped strengthen my testimony and helped me come closer to the Savior.

Hna Soto
Mi mamita ;) she taught me how to be a missionary. She taught me how to be obedient and diligent. She had an amazing amount of patience.

Hna Gamarra
Mi calabazitaaa! She taught me Spanish haha. She taught me to love and serve and everyone. We had so many good memories together that I will never forget. She taught me to have more faith and trust in the Lord.

Hna Kuhn
My waffle! She helped me grow my testimony. She taught me how to work in hard areas. She has a gift with people and knows how to comfort people.

Hna Poccohuanca
She taught me how to teach with a smile. She taught me to be more christlike. She has a calming and bright spirit.

Hna Brown
She taught me that numbers aren't important. As long as we put in our effort the Lord will strengthen us. This is HIS work not ours. She is the SWEETEST person. She taught me to forgive myself and others.

Hna sandoya
My feching tía! We were in a trio for 2 weeks when I was still in training. She has taught me to have more love in the work and in the gospel. She has taught me how to serve unselfishly. She is a scripture and doctrine powerhouse.

This past year I've had so many experiences! I've gotten sick many times, I've tried new and interesting foods, I've helped people make their first covenant with God, I've explored the beautiful country of Peru, I've learned so much, and I have met the most amazing people. But most importantly I have strengthened my relationship with my savior.

2 Nefi 4:16
"Behold, my soul delighted in the things of the Lord; and my heart pondereth continually upon the things which I have seen and heard"

I have seen the hand of the Lord every day. I am forever grateful for the good and hard times in the mission. Jesus Christ and his gospel changes lives. He has changed mine. I am so grateful for His Atonement. Christ knows us perfectly. He knows our pains, afflictions, sicknesses, doubts, and everything you could think of. Through his mercy, grace, and love we can all be saved. We can be healed. He overcame physical and spiritual death so we can have eternal life. His love is infinite.

Alma 37: 6-7
"by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise. And the Lord God doth work by means to bring about his great and eternal purposes; and by very small means the Lord doth confound the wise and bringeth about the salvation of many souls."

I invite yall to do those small and simple things such as reading the scriptures, praying, and going to church. As we do these small and simple things, the Lord will bless us. We will feel of his love more stronger. I love my Heavenly Father and Savior.

Here's to the next 6 months!! I love and miss yall so much! Thanks for all your prayers and emails!
