CAJAMARCA!!

Heyyyy y'all!! So i guess president read my email because we had transfers and president sent me to cajamarca as a sacrifice. I'm the first American sister here in 7 years. Cajamarca is super cool! It's 6 hours from Trujillo and we are basically in the mountains. It gets pretty cold at night and in the mornings too. But the people are amazing. Here are some highlights from the past 2 weeks:


•said goodbye to all my friends in California :)
•had transfers...hopped on a bus at 10:30pm with two elders and made it to cajamarca at 6am
•saw chickens, cows, donkeys, pigs, and sheep all in the first day here
•my new companion is hna sandoya! She's from Ecuador! We were in a trio for a couple weeks when I was in La Victoria. She's the bestest ever.
•we have three people on date for baptism! We invited David to be baptized on the 24th and he said yes...it's his birthday. He said, "es el mejor regalo de todos".
•went to some waterfalls for pday! It's so pretty here...pics below 
•ate guinea pig again...Perú has strengthened my stomach and I don't think I'll get sick this time
•There are miracles everyday! Big or small, there are always miracles. We just have to look for them.

Holaaaaa!! The time has come to an end. I will be leaving Peru on Friday and will make it to Idaho on Saturday! Im so excited to see everyone but also a little heartbroken to leave all the wonderful people Ive met. Peru will always have a place in my heart. I Got My Visa!

Okayyyy so guess what?! I got my visa! There were only 2 missionaries out of all 30-40 Peru missionaries at the MTC that got their visa. I was one of them! It's a MIRACLE! I leave for Peru on Monday and I'm so excited. God definitely has a plan for me and there must be someone in Peru that needs me.  This week has been super good. My Spanish is coming along. It's going to be so sad leaving my companions and district. I love them so much and it will be hard saying goodbye. We are still just having classes everyday trying to learn spanish. One night the fire alarm went off, my other two companions had just gotten out of the shower and were running to put clothes on to leave. The cops came and were trying to figure out what happened but no one knows. The very next night we had to go get medicine and as we were walking back, the MTC president stopped and asked us why there were so many people outside after hours. He told us to do better. Holaaaaa!! I have officially been a missionary for 1 year! The hardest year of my life. The best year for my life. A year of learning. A year of patience. A year of growing. A year of meeting the most amazing people. A year of making friendships. A year of coming closer to my savior. A year of miracles. A year that I will never forget. A year of love for my heavenly father and Jesus christ. There have been times where I've just wanted to give up. But in these times, the Lord gave me strength to press forward. I am so grateful for all the many experiences I have had in Peru and I'm excited for these last 6 months. One of my favorite things about the mission is the opportunity we have to meet new people.
