Christ Will Have This Smile

Buenos diaaaaas!! Heres some highlights from these past few weeks!!


• we had transfers! Im staying in Atahualpa but with my new comp Hermana Pexton! 
• i was basically dying so we went to the hospital and i have a stomach infection...asi es la vida de un misionero
• went to La Colpa, its a place where they call call cows by their name and they go into their stall
• went to cumbemayo! We took a little hike and saw hieroglyphics. There were hieroglyphics of the three kingdoms of glory, it was so cool!
• learned to play the electric guitar hehe
• our area has a bunch of little towns that are about 4 hours away so we cant visit them. There is so much work to be done and we wish we could help them but we can only do videocalls. Hopefully one day there will be a church there because we get so many references from them
• members are the BEST!! Members are the key to missionary work. We are trying to focus on the members recently and we have been able to find more people to teach. And its always a party to have lessons with them <3
• we found some pretty cool people to teach and hopefully they can progress!


This week I was reading in 3rd Nephi 19 when Jesus came to the Americas and I loved these scriptures...


"25 And it came to pass that Jesus blessed them as they did pray unto him; and his countenance did SMILE UPON THEM, and the light of his countenance did shine upon them, and behold they were as white as the countenance and also the garments of Jesus; and behold the whiteness thereof did exceed all the whiteness, yea, even there could be nothing upon earth so white as the whiteness thereof.


30 And when Jesus had spoken these words he came again unto his disciples; and behold they did pray steadfastly, without ceasing, unto him; and he did SMILE UPON THEM AGAIN; and behold they were white, even as Jesus."


I love these scriptures. I can only see Christ smiling at us when we do the right things. When we keep the commandments, pray, go to church and erve others, christ will have this smile. He is proud of us and all the things we are doing. Hes proud of our progression! He loves us so much and is always smiling upon us :)

Holaaaaa!! The time has come to an end. I will be leaving Peru on Friday and will make it to Idaho on Saturday! Im so excited to see everyone but also a little heartbroken to leave all the wonderful people Ive met. Peru will always have a place in my heart. I Got My Visa!

Okayyyy so guess what?! I got my visa! There were only 2 missionaries out of all 30-40 Peru missionaries at the MTC that got their visa. I was one of them! It's a MIRACLE! I leave for Peru on Monday and I'm so excited. God definitely has a plan for me and there must be someone in Peru that needs me.  This week has been super good. My Spanish is coming along. It's going to be so sad leaving my companions and district. I love them so much and it will be hard saying goodbye. We are still just having classes everyday trying to learn spanish. One night the fire alarm went off, my other two companions had just gotten out of the shower and were running to put clothes on to leave. The cops came and were trying to figure out what happened but no one knows. The very next night we had to go get medicine and as we were walking back, the MTC president stopped and asked us why there were so many people outside after hours. He told us to do better. Holaaaaa!! I have officially been a missionary for 1 year! The hardest year of my life. The best year for my life. A year of learning. A year of patience. A year of growing. A year of meeting the most amazing people. A year of making friendships. A year of coming closer to my savior. A year of miracles. A year that I will never forget. A year of love for my heavenly father and Jesus christ. There have been times where I've just wanted to give up. But in these times, the Lord gave me strength to press forward. I am so grateful for all the many experiences I have had in Peru and I'm excited for these last 6 months. One of my favorite things about the mission is the opportunity we have to meet new people.
