ONE YEAR IN THE MISSION

Hey yall what's up?! Here's what happened this week ;)


Mon: left cajamarca at 10:3 0pm on Sunday and arrived in Trujillo at 5:30am for zone conference!! Went to the mall and hung out with the Sisters from Rinconada :)


Tues: ONE YEAR IN THE MISSION!! Had multi-zone conference. I had to direct the conference :") we talked about the new Preach my gospel and it is amazing!! We ended the day with a little party for my one year and we are Pollo a la brasa.


Wed: my comp and I are sister training leaders so we get to go on exchanges! We had exchanges with the sisters from my first area in Victoria and it was a party! We got to see all of the friends and members there. Ahhh I miss them so much! When I was there we were teaching this kid but he was not very interested. But he got baptized a week ago and he's a completely different person. The gospel changes lives!


Thurs: we made it back to Cajamarca! We were so tired because we slept hardly nothing all week. All of our appointments got canceled and we went knocking doors, talking to everyone, and we were able to find 2 new people to teach. 


Fri: don't remember much. Had some lessons. Had a lesson with Jesus who had a baptismal date. He was the most anti Mormón person in his family but like I said earlier, the gospel changes lives. Pray that his children can understand him and support him in his decision to get baptized.


Sat: got sick again but we be thriving. The food here is good but it's not good with my stomach. We pressed forward and helped a family move. Our district and zone leaders came and it was a party. I LOVE service!! 


Sun: 1 of our friends came to church, he is 10 years old and he's just the cutest ever! He loved church! Had a couple other lessons and found someone new to teach!

Holaaaaa!! The time has come to an end. I will be leaving Peru on Friday and will make it to Idaho on Saturday! Im so excited to see everyone but also a little heartbroken to leave all the wonderful people Ive met. Peru will always have a place in my heart. I Got My Visa!

Okayyyy so guess what?! I got my visa! There were only 2 missionaries out of all 30-40 Peru missionaries at the MTC that got their visa. I was one of them! It's a MIRACLE! I leave for Peru on Monday and I'm so excited. God definitely has a plan for me and there must be someone in Peru that needs me.  This week has been super good. My Spanish is coming along. It's going to be so sad leaving my companions and district. I love them so much and it will be hard saying goodbye. We are still just having classes everyday trying to learn spanish. One night the fire alarm went off, my other two companions had just gotten out of the shower and were running to put clothes on to leave. The cops came and were trying to figure out what happened but no one knows. The very next night we had to go get medicine and as we were walking back, the MTC president stopped and asked us why there were so many people outside after hours. He told us to do better. Holaaaaa!! I have officially been a missionary for 1 year! The hardest year of my life. The best year for my life. A year of learning. A year of patience. A year of growing. A year of meeting the most amazing people. A year of making friendships. A year of coming closer to my savior. A year of miracles. A year that I will never forget. A year of love for my heavenly father and Jesus christ. There have been times where I've just wanted to give up. But in these times, the Lord gave me strength to press forward. I am so grateful for all the many experiences I have had in Peru and I'm excited for these last 6 months. One of my favorite things about the mission is the opportunity we have to meet new people.
