Buenos diaaaas!! Here's an update from this past week!


Mon: it was the first chill pday I had in a long time. It was nice to just chill and study. Had Family Home evening with the Torres Family. They are the best!! We ended the night with inka cola and a game of uno


Tues: we found 6 new people to teach!! Peru is the promised land because so many people here believe in God. Although, the work can be really hard sometimes. We decided to visit these two girls that had been taught by the missionaries before. We knocked their door and Rocio answered ans invited us in. A few minutes later her other sister walks in. She wasn't going to come to the house but she decided last minute to come to the house and she found us there! Miracle! They said they'd come to church on Sunday! 


Wed: district council!! We learned about invitations and how important they are in inviting people to repent and follow christ. We had some solid lessons over the phone and a couple in person. We love teaching the people over the phone because they are so grateful and love it when we call them. Our pensionistas son is teaching us how to solve a rubix cube but my companion is a little more into it and it's so funny. During all our meals she's just focused on solving this thing jeje


Thurs: intercambios with hna Ascencio!! A couple of our appointments fell through but we were able to visit some members. We visited a recent convert and they live out in the boonies next to the prison, we're thinking about going back to the prison to teach them jejsjs. We had english class and 3 of our investigators came!!


Fri: I cut hna Ascencios hair! I have no idea how to cut hair and it's definitely uneven but that's okay. She called it "Salón Rose". We finished intercambios and had weekly planning. We had a lesson with Edwin, he lives 2 hours away so we were just doing calls. We decided to do zoom but he literally doesn't know how to work his phone or zoom so we were trying for 20 minutes just to do a videocall. We finally figured something out and had an amazing virtual lesson with him and the bishop! They are the best. 


Sat: we found 5 new people to teach! A couple of our lessons got canceled but it gave us more time to find people. We got to the house at 8:30 to do some calls and a member tells us that our friend just got home so we can have a lesson with him. We have been trying to have a lesson with Victor but he is so busy. We literally ran to his house to have this lesson. We talked about the atonement and the member shared some experiences and the spirit was so strong!! This was such a good and powerful lesson! Also...we are advancing and bought our own rubix cubes for 25 soles. 


Sun: 4 of the recent converts came to church! We were so happy because we have been trying really hard to help them and they were finally able to come. Our other friend that we've been doing calls with came to church as well!! He could only stay for a little but we are so happy that he came. Hopefully this week we can visit his family.

Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God.


The mission is hard but it's the best! I have learned so much and am so grateful for all your prayers. Talk to yall next week!

Holaaaaa!! The time has come to an end. I will be leaving Peru on Friday and will make it to Idaho on Saturday! Im so excited to see everyone but also a little heartbroken to leave all the wonderful people Ive met. Peru will always have a place in my heart. I Got My Visa!

Okayyyy so guess what?! I got my visa! There were only 2 missionaries out of all 30-40 Peru missionaries at the MTC that got their visa. I was one of them! It's a MIRACLE! I leave for Peru on Monday and I'm so excited. God definitely has a plan for me and there must be someone in Peru that needs me.  This week has been super good. My Spanish is coming along. It's going to be so sad leaving my companions and district. I love them so much and it will be hard saying goodbye. We are still just having classes everyday trying to learn spanish. One night the fire alarm went off, my other two companions had just gotten out of the shower and were running to put clothes on to leave. The cops came and were trying to figure out what happened but no one knows. The very next night we had to go get medicine and as we were walking back, the MTC president stopped and asked us why there were so many people outside after hours. He told us to do better. Holaaaaa!! I have officially been a missionary for 1 year! The hardest year of my life. The best year for my life. A year of learning. A year of patience. A year of growing. A year of meeting the most amazing people. A year of making friendships. A year of coming closer to my savior. A year of miracles. A year that I will never forget. A year of love for my heavenly father and Jesus christ. There have been times where I've just wanted to give up. But in these times, the Lord gave me strength to press forward. I am so grateful for all the many experiences I have had in Peru and I'm excited for these last 6 months. One of my favorite things about the mission is the opportunity we have to meet new people.
