I Got My Visa!

Okayyyy so guess what?! I got my visa! There were only 2 missionaries out of all 30-40 Peru missionaries at the MTC that got their visa. I was one of them! It's a MIRACLE! I leave for Peru on Monday and I'm so excited. God definitely has a plan for me and there must be someone in Peru that needs me. 


This week has been super good. My Spanish is coming along. It's going to be so sad leaving my companions and district. I love them so much and it will be hard saying goodbye. We are still just having classes everyday trying to learn spanish. One night the fire alarm went off, my other two companions had just gotten out of the shower and were running to put clothes on to leave. The cops came and were trying to figure out what happened but no one knows. The very next night we had to go get medicine and as we were walking back, the MTC president stopped and asked us why there were so many people outside after hours. He told us to do better. It was kinda funny haha. Anywaysss, this week has been great. I love my companions and we laugh so much.  


So every Tuesday night, a general authority comes to the MTC and gives a devotional. This whole time they were members of the seventy. I thought it was because July is the month that the apostles have a break. So I was hoping one of the twelve apostles would be there last night. When the meeting started and I found out it wasn't one of the twelve, I was kinda sad. I was hoping for Pres. Eyring or something because I know he has a grandson at the MTC right now. That was wrong of me to think that way because it doesn't matter who spoke to us. They are all God's chosen servants and they all have an important message for us. Elder and Sister Palmer of the Seventy came last night and it was the best devotional yet. The spirit was so strong in the room. They taught about the Book of Mormon and how it is the keystone of our religion. They spoke with power. It was amazing. I invite all of you to commit or recommit to reading the Book of Momon everyday. The BoM can help us in so many ways. It can bring us closer to the savior. It can change our lives.

Holaaaaa!! The time has come to an end. I will be leaving Peru on Friday and will make it to Idaho on Saturday! Im so excited to see everyone but also a little heartbroken to leave all the wonderful people Ive met. Peru will always have a place in my heart. Holaaaaa!! I have officially been a missionary for 1 year! The hardest year of my life. The best year for my life. A year of learning. A year of patience. A year of growing. A year of meeting the most amazing people. A year of making friendships. A year of coming closer to my savior. A year of miracles. A year that I will never forget. A year of love for my heavenly father and Jesus christ. There have been times where I've just wanted to give up. But in these times, the Lord gave me strength to press forward.
