Are You From Venezuela??

Buenos días hermanitos!! Que tal?? This week was pretty good :) The weather here is in the 60s or 70s which is super nice. Last pday it was super nice outside so we played volleyball, basketball, and had hamburgers with our zone (grossest hamburger I've ever had). It was alot of fun! I got fried tho hehe esta bien :) Someone asked me if I was from Venezuela which is so funny because I'm white and can't speak hardly any Spanish. I hit one month in Perú which is crazy! We had stake conference this week and it was good. The Church was packed...all the rooms in the church were full. We showed up super late because we were picking up one of our investigators and it was so hard to find somewhere to sit. There's alot of members here which is amazing. I didn't understand most of the conference but our mission president and his wife spoke and I understand mostly everything they said because they have an American accent. 
We have a few investigators that are progressing. Juan, the guy that I mentioned last week, is moving back to Trujillo. So he's going to get baptized on Saturday! Luigui and Leonardo are a couple of our other amigos right now. They came to church on Sunday and we are teaching them this week. The work is good here, we're always super busy.

Holaaaaa!! The time has come to an end. I will be leaving Peru on Friday and will make it to Idaho on Saturday! Im so excited to see everyone but also a little heartbroken to leave all the wonderful people Ive met. Peru will always have a place in my heart. I Got My Visa!

Okayyyy so guess what?! I got my visa! There were only 2 missionaries out of all 30-40 Peru missionaries at the MTC that got their visa. I was one of them! It's a MIRACLE! I leave for Peru on Monday and I'm so excited. God definitely has a plan for me and there must be someone in Peru that needs me.  This week has been super good. My Spanish is coming along. It's going to be so sad leaving my companions and district. I love them so much and it will be hard saying goodbye. We are still just having classes everyday trying to learn spanish. One night the fire alarm went off, my other two companions had just gotten out of the shower and were running to put clothes on to leave. The cops came and were trying to figure out what happened but no one knows. The very next night we had to go get medicine and as we were walking back, the MTC president stopped and asked us why there were so many people outside after hours. He told us to do better. Holaaaaa!! I have officially been a missionary for 1 year! The hardest year of my life. The best year for my life. A year of learning. A year of patience. A year of growing. A year of meeting the most amazing people. A year of making friendships. A year of coming closer to my savior. A year of miracles. A year that I will never forget. A year of love for my heavenly father and Jesus christ. There have been times where I've just wanted to give up. But in these times, the Lord gave me strength to press forward. I am so grateful for all the many experiences I have had in Peru and I'm excited for these last 6 months. One of my favorite things about the mission is the opportunity we have to meet new people.
