Chimú
Holaaaaa!! Espero que todos estén muy bien!
Its been a while so heres some highlights from these past few weeks!
•I had exchanges with hermana ticllacuri in Huanchaco! Shes super cute! Huanchaco is where the beach is and I love it there! I hope I can serve there but the chances are very slim because I only have two more transfers pipipi
•exhanges with hermana carlson in Chimu! She is the bestest ever! I think we talked with a british accent more than we talked in spanish. We found new people to teach and we had so much fun
•exchanges with hermana secrist in Huanchaco!! Im an hermana lider so we get to go on exchanges with the other hermanas. Once again Huanchaco was the best. We went to the beach but this time a drunk guy didnt offer to take us for a walk on the beach. The Pensionista in Huanchaco made me my two favorite foods (lomo saltado and papa rellena). She also showed us her tortus and also her parrot José! Jose danced for us and everything. She also gave me these earings as i was leaving. The people are so humble and filled with so much love. I love Huanchaco!!
•we had leadership conference and multizone conference! I got to see all my buddies again :) so many of my friends are going home this transfer and imma be crying. Send me tissues. But the conference was amazing! As missionaries we have power and authority to teach. We have celestial power and sometimes we forget that. I am honored to wear christs name on my chest and teach his people.
•I gave my first talk in sacrament meeting during the mission. Im honestly surprised i made it 14 months without having to give a talk. It went super good, our amigo Julio took notes and asked us questions about it in our next appointment.
•we are teaching this super cute 16 year old. Shes just adorable! We gave her some dresses so that she can come to church comfortably. She loved them. We also put her on date to get baptized and she was so excited! But her mom doesnt want her to. Pray for her mom please that she can support her daughter!!
•we are teaching our friend Julio! Hes kinda crazy but funny. He wants to get baptized and he had an answer but the bishop told him to wait. Now hes waiting for the bishops permission i think. Pray for him as well so that he can receive an answer and make this decision between him and God.
•i thought going on a mission would help me alot for after the mission but someone buys and cooks our food and we also have someone that does our laundry. The lady that does our laundry hasnt had water for 2 weeks so weve had to handwash. It takes so LONG but now i can say i know how to handwash.
John 15:19
" If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you."
We are on the winning team. The Lord has chosen us as his people. Of the 8,000,000,000 people in the world, he has chosen 72,000 missionaries. Of these missionaries there are 137 missionaries in the peru trujillo norte mision. Christ has chosen me to be here in trujillo. He has called everyone to share his message. Why has he chosen us? What talents and gifts do we have? If we know our purpose, maybe we can know that Christ chose us. I am honored that he chose me. Im ready to work these last few months as hard as I can. So that when I go home, Christ will be happy with my efforts. I love this work. Christ is the captain of this work and he has alot of confidence in his missionaries. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity to serve him.
Thats all for now! I love yall so so much! Keep praying and reading your scriptures!!
