Pizza Hut In Perú!!

Hola hola amigos y familia! 


Nothing too crazy happened this week. For Pday last week we made cookies...and they were...interesting haha. I used my recipe but the ingredients here are different. Also we used a members kitchen and they don't have a temperature on the oven so we just guessed. The Peruvian missionaries have never had cookies before so they thought they were fine but I thought they were gross haha. This week we went to the Mall in Trujillo! Its actually really nice, I'd say it's better than the Boise mall haha. At the mall they have two American restaurants...McDonald's and pizza Hut. Since we can only go to the mall once a month, of course we got pizza Hut. It was surprising really good and very similar to the US. I miss American food haha!


We had interviews with the Mission president and it was super good. We also got to talk to his wife, his wife doesn't know any Spanish so she loves being able to talk to the missionaries in English when she can. They are both so amazing and I love them. We also had zone conference this week. I love zone conference! It's so fun to meet more missionaries and learn how we can teach better. I understood alot more than last time...probably because they were American elders speaking in Spanish and it's much easier to understand them. 


 We got a referral one day so we called him and wanted to meet with us later that day. His name is Juan! We taught him a lesson and invited him to an activity at the church the next day. He came and met the bishop and many members. We taught him another lesson and he came to church yesterday. After church we were talking to him and he said he wants to get baptized! However, he decided last minute to move Lima and he's moving today. Soo he has to get baptized in Lima. Sad for us but it's awesome that he has a desire to get baptized. That's our goals as missionaries, not to baptize as many people as we can, but to invite others to come unto christ. This week has been really good and I have really seen the Lord's hand in my life everyday this week.

Holaaaaa!! The time has come to an end. I will be leaving Peru on Friday and will make it to Idaho on Saturday! Im so excited to see everyone but also a little heartbroken to leave all the wonderful people Ive met. Peru will always have a place in my heart. I Got My Visa!

Okayyyy so guess what?! I got my visa! There were only 2 missionaries out of all 30-40 Peru missionaries at the MTC that got their visa. I was one of them! It's a MIRACLE! I leave for Peru on Monday and I'm so excited. God definitely has a plan for me and there must be someone in Peru that needs me.  This week has been super good. My Spanish is coming along. It's going to be so sad leaving my companions and district. I love them so much and it will be hard saying goodbye. We are still just having classes everyday trying to learn spanish. One night the fire alarm went off, my other two companions had just gotten out of the shower and were running to put clothes on to leave. The cops came and were trying to figure out what happened but no one knows. The very next night we had to go get medicine and as we were walking back, the MTC president stopped and asked us why there were so many people outside after hours. He told us to do better. Holaaaaa!! I have officially been a missionary for 1 year! The hardest year of my life. The best year for my life. A year of learning. A year of patience. A year of growing. A year of meeting the most amazing people. A year of making friendships. A year of coming closer to my savior. A year of miracles. A year that I will never forget. A year of love for my heavenly father and Jesus christ. There have been times where I've just wanted to give up. But in these times, the Lord gave me strength to press forward. I am so grateful for all the many experiences I have had in Peru and I'm excited for these last 6 months. One of my favorite things about the mission is the opportunity we have to meet new people.
