Conference

Buenos diaaaaaaaas!!

Mon: sisters pday with hna hiatt!! We went to the mission home with some other sisters for pday. We had pizza, cake, played games and did a clothing swap because we are all tired of the same clothes everyday. We also celebrated hermana carlsons birthday, it was a party!!

Tues: exchanges with hermana Saba in Chimu!! Hermana saba is dying and will be going next week. She served in Chimu so we got to say goodbye to alot of members. We were also able to contact some people and find other people that she taught.

Wed: District council con el distrito zion. I love our district, they are so funny. We had to take our spanish and English exams to see our progression. So basically we hear a phrase and we have to repeat it. It was just so adorable watching them trying to speak english. We had a lesson with Julio. Later we had a lesson with his son John. We were just planning on teaching him about the temples, and we did, but then we felt the spirit tell us to invite him to be baptized. So we invited him and he said Yes! Hes going to get baptized on october 14th with his dad! He is super excited!! We later had a family home evening with Moises and he bought us Dr. Pepper, lo maximoooo!!

Thurs: we had a lesson with Yuriko!! She is the most precious and kindest person ever. It was also her birthday and she was so happy to see us. She is just so grateful and happy for everything. I want to be like that. The people who are grateful for everything seem to be happiest.

Fri: we found a family to teach! Our appointments got canceled so we decided to knock doors and talk to poeple in the park. We found the coolest family from Venezuela. The venozolanos are the best, they are so kind and humble. We were also able to find another guy. He doesnt have many beliefs but he was willing to hear us and wanted to learn more. 

Sat: general conference!!!! Its a missionaries dream. I definitely didnt appreciate more than I have now. These messages are from God to all his children. Our prayers can be answered through this conference. Between the sessions we had a couple lessons. We taught John in English because he knows english and my comp is also from the states....it was so weird trying to teach in english. I still have a long long way to go with my spanish but the Lord has blessed me so much and I am so grateful for the gift of tongues.

Sun: general conference part 2 :) wow! One of the messages I feel like was repeated alot is the message that we are sons and daughters of a loving heavenly father. In order to understand the gospel and other things, we first need to know our identity. We are literal Spirit children of an Almighty God who has infinite love. Nothing we do or nothing that happens to us will separate us from His love. He loves us more than we can even imagine. One of the ways he has showed his love to us is through calling prophets. The prophets' message today was amazing and powerful. We are so blessed to have a prophet in our days. The prophet announced 2 new temples to be built in Peru!!!!!! That means there will now be 9 temples in Peru, what an amazing blessing of LOVE that God has given to his children in Peru. 

I loved conference. I am so grateful for all the messages we heard and the love I felt. I know this church is true. I know God calls prophets. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know that we can find eternal life and eternal happiness through our Savior Jesus Christ. I invite y'all to go rewatch or reread conference because its just purely amazing.
