Tengo Una Hijita!!!

We got transfer news and........I'm staying in Chimú and I am training!! 


Mon: volleyball and card games with the elderes!!


Tues: we visited some members because we knew that hermana stromsdorfer was going to leave. The members here are the absolute best. We got our emails at night saying that I will be training!


Wed: hermana Strömsdörfer packed her bags while I got to clean and study. We visited more members. We had a lesson with Julio! Hes getting excited for his baptism. This time he didnt ask us many questions and said he knew how to find the answers in the gospel library but he said, "son muy buenas maestras!" Hahah julio is the best. Eventhough my comp was the one that was leaving, I still got gifts haha. Someone got me a llama and dr pepper!!!


Thurs: transfer day! I got my temporal companion, hermana secrist, until we got our hijitas on saturday. We visited less active members with our mission leader. Had a party with hna secrist, i love her!!


Fri: we went to the airport to pick up the new missionaries!! There were 23 new missionaries (i came in a group of 5). It was so fun!! We then got to eat lunch with them and get to know them a bit. At night, we went to a dance festival and the wards danced to all different types of dances from Peru! It was so cool, i love the culture here!


Sat: went to the offices and picked up my companion Hermana Ramirez! She is from Lima and is the cutest ever! This transfer is going to be awesome!!


Sun: stake conference! We went to stake conference and there was a member of the seventy there. He is so awesome and I love how the venozolanos speak. Our friend Julio was also able to meet him and have a short 1 minute conversation. Julio told us that satan was tempting him not to get baptized this week, but the message from the elder of the seventy helped him and now hes super excited. We are also teaching Julios 18 year old son and he is also super excited to get baptized. It was such a good, spirit and miracle filled day!


A wise person once told me that "every day is the best of your life". Ive been thinking about that alot. Eventhough we have our bad days when things fall through or they dont go the way we want, theres always a reason to be happy. We need to look at the good times when we are feeling down because really there is so much to be happy about. We have a loving heavenly father and Jesus christ. We have family. We are protected. There is so much to be thankful for. Today is the best day of my life. 
Look for the good today! Because today is the best day of your life!!!!

Holaaaaa!! The time has come to an end. I will be leaving Peru on Friday and will make it to Idaho on Saturday! Im so excited to see everyone but also a little heartbroken to leave all the wonderful people Ive met. Peru will always have a place in my heart. I Got My Visa!

Okayyyy so guess what?! I got my visa! There were only 2 missionaries out of all 30-40 Peru missionaries at the MTC that got their visa. I was one of them! It's a MIRACLE! I leave for Peru on Monday and I'm so excited. God definitely has a plan for me and there must be someone in Peru that needs me.  This week has been super good. My Spanish is coming along. It's going to be so sad leaving my companions and district. I love them so much and it will be hard saying goodbye. We are still just having classes everyday trying to learn spanish. One night the fire alarm went off, my other two companions had just gotten out of the shower and were running to put clothes on to leave. The cops came and were trying to figure out what happened but no one knows. The very next night we had to go get medicine and as we were walking back, the MTC president stopped and asked us why there were so many people outside after hours. He told us to do better. Holaaaaa!! I have officially been a missionary for 1 year! The hardest year of my life. The best year for my life. A year of learning. A year of patience. A year of growing. A year of meeting the most amazing people. A year of making friendships. A year of coming closer to my savior. A year of miracles. A year that I will never forget. A year of love for my heavenly father and Jesus christ. There have been times where I've just wanted to give up. But in these times, the Lord gave me strength to press forward. I am so grateful for all the many experiences I have had in Peru and I'm excited for these last 6 months. One of my favorite things about the mission is the opportunity we have to meet new people.
