What Lack I Yet?

I hope yall had a fabulous week! Im loving it here in Peru, heres what went down this week :)


Mon: voleyball and card games with the district!! We had a family home evening with John, julio and the bishop. Julio wants me to marry his son and everytime we meet he talks about it.....but other than that we shared a great message about the restoration


Tues: we had a busy day with alot of lessons! We have been focusing on finding families and its amazing how the Lord has put families in our path <3


Wed: district council!! We watched the conference talk, "what lack i yet?". It is so good!! We are good people but there is always room for improvement. We need to be humble and ask the the lord what lack i yet? How can I be better? And if we get an answer, what am I willing to sacrifice? I love my district!! We had a lesson with Yuriko! Shes the sweetest ever! Shes going to get baptized november 25th! She has a kitten and they put a dress on her and actually adorable 


Thurs: we helped a lady iron some graduation gowns, that was fun :) although there was only one iron so I attempted to iron but with a steamer. We had a lesson with a family, they are so cool and willing to learn! 


Fri: exchanches with hermana carlson! It was so fun! The temple is in their area so we went to the temple to have studies! The Pensionistas dog followed us all the way to the temple...we closed the gate behind us so he wouldnt get into the temple grounds but he somehow slipped under the fence and found us. It was so funny! For yall that know me, i DONT like fish. It was my lucky day to have exchanges in Villa del Mar because the Pensionista gave us fish head soup and more fish with the nastiest beans ever. For dinner she gave us an egg omelet but with rice and fish brains...it was GROSS!! But other than that I loved my exchange with hermana carlson, i love her!!


Sat: alot of our appointments got canceled pipipi. But we had a couple good lessons. Some members invited us over for pollo a la brasa....ricooooo


Sun: none of our friends came to church but a couple showed up by themselves. Hopefully we will be able teach them! Our appointments got canceled again so we contacted some people abd visited members. I love my ward here. We have transfers this week and im going to cry if i have to go. 


I don't have much time, but remember that God loves you! He's always there for you with his arm extended to pick you up.

Holaaaaa!! The time has come to an end. I will be leaving Peru on Friday and will make it to Idaho on Saturday! Im so excited to see everyone but also a little heartbroken to leave all the wonderful people Ive met. Peru will always have a place in my heart. I Got My Visa!

Okayyyy so guess what?! I got my visa! There were only 2 missionaries out of all 30-40 Peru missionaries at the MTC that got their visa. I was one of them! It's a MIRACLE! I leave for Peru on Monday and I'm so excited. God definitely has a plan for me and there must be someone in Peru that needs me.  This week has been super good. My Spanish is coming along. It's going to be so sad leaving my companions and district. I love them so much and it will be hard saying goodbye. We are still just having classes everyday trying to learn spanish. One night the fire alarm went off, my other two companions had just gotten out of the shower and were running to put clothes on to leave. The cops came and were trying to figure out what happened but no one knows. The very next night we had to go get medicine and as we were walking back, the MTC president stopped and asked us why there were so many people outside after hours. He told us to do better. Holaaaaa!! I have officially been a missionary for 1 year! The hardest year of my life. The best year for my life. A year of learning. A year of patience. A year of growing. A year of meeting the most amazing people. A year of making friendships. A year of coming closer to my savior. A year of miracles. A year that I will never forget. A year of love for my heavenly father and Jesus christ. There have been times where I've just wanted to give up. But in these times, the Lord gave me strength to press forward. I am so grateful for all the many experiences I have had in Peru and I'm excited for these last 6 months. One of my favorite things about the mission is the opportunity we have to meet new people.
