Happy Salmon

Holaaaaaa!! This week wasnt very exciting but heres a little of what happened :)


Mon: we made salchipapa with the district. Its basically french fries and hotdogs with ketchup and mayonesa. It was so good! I got this new game and it was so funny playing with the district because part of the game is yelling frases but its in english. It was so funny with their spanish accents, it was a party! I visited California, one of my areas, to say goodbye to all the people I met there <3


Tues: we went to the temple as a district!!! I love the temple!! Its amazing to enter, to be filled with peace, and forget about the worldly things. It literally is the house of the Lord!


Wed: district council!! The elders are absolutely crazy but it makes our councils fun and interesting. We had some lessons and met some new people :)


Thurs: i dont remember much but we had some good leesons jeje


Fri: exchanges with hermana espinoza!! We found some new people to teach. We found this one girl in a park, the misisonaries had found her before they never went back to visit her. We found her in the park and she is super interested and excited to meet with us again! 


Sat: all of our appointments got canceled...rip...so we went to a park, knocked doors, and talked to people in the streets. We were able to teach a few people but no one was interested for a second visit. We ended the day with a member visit to cheer us up!


Sun: cynthia came to church again!! Shes awesome! She had a date to get baptized this saturday but her parents arent very supportive, pray for her and her family. 


This week i was studying about repentance and conversion. Conversion means to change our beliefs and actions. To be converted we have to consciously recognize our behaviors and change them to become more like our savior. Its a change we can make through repentance. We cant be cleaned only through repentance, but when we repent we gain access to the atonements power to be cleaned and healed. The atonement is real! Im grateful for my Savior and His infinite atonement. He has healed me. He can heal everyone of us as we repent and are converted unto Him.

Holaaaaa!! The time has come to an end. I will be leaving Peru on Friday and will make it to Idaho on Saturday! Im so excited to see everyone but also a little heartbroken to leave all the wonderful people Ive met. Peru will always have a place in my heart. I Got My Visa!

Okayyyy so guess what?! I got my visa! There were only 2 missionaries out of all 30-40 Peru missionaries at the MTC that got their visa. I was one of them! It's a MIRACLE! I leave for Peru on Monday and I'm so excited. God definitely has a plan for me and there must be someone in Peru that needs me.  This week has been super good. My Spanish is coming along. It's going to be so sad leaving my companions and district. I love them so much and it will be hard saying goodbye. We are still just having classes everyday trying to learn spanish. One night the fire alarm went off, my other two companions had just gotten out of the shower and were running to put clothes on to leave. The cops came and were trying to figure out what happened but no one knows. The very next night we had to go get medicine and as we were walking back, the MTC president stopped and asked us why there were so many people outside after hours. He told us to do better. Holaaaaa!! I have officially been a missionary for 1 year! The hardest year of my life. The best year for my life. A year of learning. A year of patience. A year of growing. A year of meeting the most amazing people. A year of making friendships. A year of coming closer to my savior. A year of miracles. A year that I will never forget. A year of love for my heavenly father and Jesus christ. There have been times where I've just wanted to give up. But in these times, the Lord gave me strength to press forward. I am so grateful for all the many experiences I have had in Peru and I'm excited for these last 6 months. One of my favorite things about the mission is the opportunity we have to meet new people.
