Medieval Chicken Night
What's up, y'all!
Welcome back to another weekly email. This week was hype and lots of fun, with many miracles seen! I'll start with the miracles.
We've been teaching Eboni for a few weeks now, and we had a great lesson with her this week. A lady from our ward joined us at the last minute, and we taught Eboni the Restoration. The lesson went super well, and I taught with ease, despite feeling nervous. Eboni is excited to dive into the Book of Mormon and even gave a beautiful prayer, asking to find truth and direction. The member gave some amazing thoughts from her stance as a convert to the church. Thos comments made a huge difference in the lesson. Had she not been there, the lesson would not have turned out as good as it did.
Next, we have Don, a man we've only communicated with via text and phone calls while he's been in Cabo. We invited him to church over the phone, and he showed up on Sunday! Insane! We had a great conversation and are building a strong relationship.
Another miracle is Adam, whom we baptized a few weeks ago. He's loving church and the gospel. When we teach him lessons, he ends up teaching us during lessons! His knowledge of the gospel is so good and he truly knows his Savior Jesus Christ. He also received the priesthood this Sunday. It was so cool to see him get the preisthood. This is because most missionaries don't get to see this stage of there freinds progress on the covenant path. Hype miracale!
As for fun stuff, I get to drive this transfer, and we got a new Tacoma! This tacoma used to be driven by a mission leader so its really nice and baisically brand new. Also, one day we had four dinner plans. Someone how our schedule got messed up and me and my companion were so full that night lol. We also had a medieval chicken night with a ward family. You could only eat with your hands and you had to makes crowns and wear them all night. They bought three roticiary chickens and we all just dug in lol. It was actually really good and a funny experience.
Finally, my comp and I are forced to participate in the Easter program, reciting lines while the piano plays. We have 10 parts combined, and they're only singing three songs! We're essentially the whole program next Sunday, so we'll see how that goes!
In summary, this was a great week. My testimony is growing, and my love for the people, my Savior, and the Book of Mormon is growing. I also lost two more pounds haha. I promise that if you read the Book of Mormon and pray to know the truth, you'll come to know it's the word of God, bringing peace and joy into your life.
That's all for now. I love you all and have a great week!
Peace!
